What is Air to Water technology?
Atmospheric water is quality drinking water that is extracted from the humidity in the air via a fast and energy-efficient patented condensation process, which allows it to make water continuously, even in low humidity conditions
Is it safe to drink?
Air is a cleaner platform than soil. Water production from the air eliminates the need for ground water pumping and the fear of soil contamination. Thus, water from the air is the safer option. In addition, all the water produced by Água Fresh systems goes through a robust filtering process which cleans any dust and particles left from the air. The devices are designed to produce safe, potable water. They use advanced filtration systems that include HEPA filters and UV sterilization to remove contaminants and ensure the water meets or exceeds municipal drinking water standards
Where can the Air to Water devices be placed?
Because the device doesn’t need to be linked to water pipes, your choice of location is flexible. We suggest setting up the device in a well-aired location with windows. It should ideally be placed in a kitchen, dining room, lounge, office kitchenette, meeting room and can even be used on a boat. Our commercial devices can also be placed outside, or in a pool pump room/area.
How much water will be produced?
Depending on your water needs, Água Fresh has a range of devices from the Plug & Drink 16 litres a day to our commercial devices that can produce up to 10 000 litres a day.
How often do the filters need to be changed?
The post carbon, TCR filter and carbon granules may need to be replaced every 6-9 months. This is dependent on your usage of the device. The filters come in a designated kit which can be purchased online or via email. The starting price on kits is from 80 euros for the smaller devices.
Is the water tasty?
Water extracted from air is generally ‘lighter’ than tap water. Also, the mineralization process includes the addition of calcium and magnesium to the water to create improved mouth-feel and taste.
How do I connect my device?
Água Fresh Plug & Drink devices only require an electrical outlet to function. As soon as it is connected to electricity, it will start the extraction process instantly. These devices do not require external plumbing or water pipes to function. However the larger and commercial devices can be powered by battery, electrical or solar.
What is the electricity consumption?
In general, 1 kilowatt can produce 3 liters of water. This is related to the ambient temperature, humidity, and power charge. When the temperature of 25°C, the higher humidity, the lower the cost of producing water. Conversely, the energy consumption also increases with lower humidity and temperature. Our bigger devices for residential or commercial use can be powered by electricity, battery or solar.
How does this technology work?
Water is produced through a condensation process, where the humidity in the air surrounding the device meets a cold surface, and at that point of interaction, the humidity turns to water. This process takes place constantly during the day, with the water collected in a tank within the device. The water production process takes place through the patented technology which is the heart of the device. It guarantees constant, premium-quality water throughout the day.
